Today’s batches for arbitration… and what Indexers are doing…
US, Illinois—County Marriages 1810-1934 [Part C]
- Not checking the whole image for the individual’s name. The forms like the the Marriage License info on the left side and the Illinois State Board of Health information on the right side there’s two spots for the bride / groom’s names. Use “or” in-between variations.
- Pre-printed titles / terms are to be indexed. Mr, Miss, Mrs are all titles to watch out for.
- If the given names are not expanded do not expand them.
US, Louisiana—Parish Marriages, 1837–1929 [Part C]
- like about not checking the whole image and indexing the Mr / Miss even if they’re pre-printed.
- again not using “or” in-between variations of names.
I think another post might come along later tonight. Got to go out and do some grocery shopping. Insurance money from us cancelling our car insurance since it’s sitting in its parking spot broken down came today and is a big blessing right now since money is tight.
