Working on arbitration batches while sitting here at work waiting for trips to come down to us.
My one account I’m working on 1940 Census and here’s what I’ve found wrong.
Batch #1
- Both indexers not watching their auto fill (or lack there of). Instead of double checking their work they both put S in for Son instead of completing the word. Okay that was just for 1 line later on the one indexer did notice their mistake and started fixing it.
- If Same House or Same Place are in the column 17 Residence in 1935 field then you blank both fields for columns 18 and 19. Do not enter county or state information in these cases. Both indexers did this.
Batch #2
- Watch the line numbers. If it’s sheet A then the lines should be 1 to 40. If it’s sheet B then they should be 41 to 80. They’re on both sides of the page so you shouldn’t be able to miss them.
Well that’s what I had so far. Got distracted by trips at work and couldn’t do indexing for a couple hours 
which is good cause that means I’m making $!!!
