Things to Remember:
  • S B - Means Stillborn. Do Not index this as initials. Blank the name.
  • Names - Two locations for names - If the name is not recorded in the “Name, if Any” column, but is recorded in the “Baptismal Name…” column, index the name in the “Baptismal Name…” column.  https://www.familysearch.org/learn/wiki/en/images/4/48/Bahamas_Name.pdf
  • How to index S.B., Mother's surnames and Child's surnames - Do not assume the child's surname from the parent's surname. If the surname was not recorded or was written as a variation of the word 'unknown,' press Tab to skip this field. If both a maiden name and a married name (including any surnames from previous marriages) were recorded, index all surnames in the surname field, with the maiden name first. . This is the case even when the maiden name and married surname are the same, such as Rolle Rolle. (The name preceded by “formerly” should be indexed before the current married name.) Do not include titles or terms, such as baby or infant, with the name. (S.B. indicates a stillbirth and is not indexed in the given or surname field)  https://www.familysearch.org/learn/wiki/en/images/3/3c/Bahamas_Example.pdf
